About The Perry Library of Theatre

The Perry Library of Theatre (PLOT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to research in the performing arts. The Library currently houses an archive of over 1300 publications, including 500 scripts, 200 works of criticism and history, and hundreds of rare ephemera related to American and European theatre from the 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The Library also maintains a significant collection of fine art - paintings, prints, and sculpture related to the performing arts, and it holds a significant private collection of the work of British genre painter John Massey Wright (1777-1866), known for many illustrations of the works of William Shakespeare.

The Library was formed in January 2015 and is currently developing plans for public exhibitions and programming.
